Mirrored Lace

Bow Tie - Topshop
Lace Collar Blouse - Topshop
Wedge Heels - Ebay
Sunglasses - Ebay
Casio Watch - Amazon

I tell a lie, I actually wore this a few nights ago to a Primal Scream gig that I won tickets for - minus the sunglasses obviously! It was a pretty good night considering I wasn't sure who they were! I've never been a major fan or wearer of trousers, but I seen these hanging on a rail in H&M a couple of weeks ago and I really wished I was. I didn't even pick them up to try them on, just sailed past thinking I'd never know what to wear with them and couldn't pull off the risque print, but i couldn't stop thinking about them for days on end and had to go get them! If you're a bit on the curvy hipped and butt side like me, you'll probably not even consider dabbling in the printed trouser trend. But I find if I get something with a long and straight enough cut like this sleeveless jacket from Topshop, the trend is pretty doable!

Tapestry

Floral Tapestry Print Blazer - River Island
Black Bowler Hat - Topshop
White Blouse - Urban Outfitters
Bow Neck Pin - Topshop
Black Skinny Jeans - River Island
Lace Up Boots - Primark

Eeee i love this blazer so much, perfect print and colours for this time of year! I bought it on good old trusty Ebay recently as i missed it on the River Island website last year and always had a bit of a thing for it. You know when you see other people wearing something and you're overcome with jealousy and regret that you didn't buy it yourself? Well, that happened!

In other news, I know i have absolutely no hope but it would be lovely to be nominated for the Company Blogger Award for Best Style Newcomer Blog if you like my blog and have a spare minute then please click here! Thanks in advance :)

Katy Perry False Lashes in 'Pretty'

Katy Perry False Lashes in 'Pretty'*

Well well, I never thought i'd see the day that i'd go back to ready-to-wear falsies but here we are! These false eyelashes are so lightweight and wearable I actually forgot i had them on all day.. this was also probably due to the fact i wasn't faffing around with glue pots and sticky applicators for fifteen minutes. I remember using pre-glued lashes years ago and swearing i'd never look back after countless nights of coming home with both of them hanging off my face (gorgeous image i've left you with there).. but i'd heard so many good things about the Katy Perry range that i thought they were worth a days gamble when i was sent them to review. They literally look less than two minutes to apply before i put my makeup on, which is pretty handy for me given my track record with being on time for things! They look so natural on and are perfect for day time wearing, my mum actually told me my makeup looked nicer than ever today and she's not one to dish out compliments so they're due a bit of credit! I'll definitely be buying these again and would recommend them if you're looking for a nice lightweight pair of falsies that aren't too OTT. Lennon

John Lennon Sunglasses - Ebay
Fur Collared Woolen Coat - Dorothy Perkins (Mums from another era!)
Stud Collar Blouse - Urban Outfitters
Levis Shorts - Ebay
Block Heel Chelsea Boots - Ebay
Lips - Mac 'Plaid Pink'
Nails - Topshop 'Art School'

What an absolute beaut of a day! Granted it felt a lot colder than it looked but i love that kind of weather, where you can still layer up but it's nice enough out not to have to stuff an umbrella in your bag and living in constant fear of rain! Everyone is always much happier when it's a nice bright day too.. seasonal effective disordor, or something like that?

I robbed this gorgeous coat from my mum before she was about to stuff it into a charity bag, and no i didn't feel guilty, look at it, such a vintage gem! Honestly some of the things that woman has tried to get rid of over the years! It has a really nice fur collar too which you can't really see past my mane of hair, it's under there somewhere.

I don't know if anyone has picked up on the blog revamp, i just got so bored looking at it and needed to give it a bit of an update! I renamed it and changed the URL, so i'm not sure if my posts appear on anyone's feed anymore.. I had to click on the 'add' button above the feed and type in my new URL for them to appear.

February Favorites

1. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo 2. Bioderma Crealine H2O 3. He-Shi Express Liquid Tan 4. Orly Nail Lacouer in Boho Bonnet 5. The Original Tangle Teezer

1. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo - This is a multi-purpose product with a serum type consistency, intended for 'corrective and unclogging anti-perfection care'. It has a really clean and clinical scent, and just sinks into the skin beautifully on application. I used this religiously for a couple of weeks as i lovd how soft it left my face feeling, but i started to feel like my skin was drying out. There is so much hype around this product but to be completely honest it probably isn't one i'm going to be rushing back to Boots for.. All in all it's a nice product that leaves skin feeling fres, and soft to touch, but is probably better suited for every other day use.

2. Bioderma Crealine H2O - You have probably already read at least eighty five on this makeup remover in the last 24 hours so i'm not going to go too much into it but it's my absolute savior at the moment! I used to use Rodial Dragons Blood and it cost me around £25 for a bottle that barely lasted two months, but this sturdy 500ml is here for the long haul and was so reasonable. (You can get it from Amazon or Ebay) I love water based cleansers and wouldn't really bother with any other kind of makeup remover, they just melt it all off so easily with a cotton pad and turn makeup removal - usually considered a major chore before bed -into something that's really quick and easy and takes no time at all.

3. He-Shi Express Liquid Tan for Him and Her - When i have a few extra bucks about me this is the tan i always reach for, and it's on my Christmas list without fail every single year. It's over the £20 mark but it's honestly worth it, i only really reach for St Moriz and the like when i'm in a rush and need to tan up pretty pronto. This liquid based tan stains the skin on contact so you have a really good visual idea of what your doing - streak free since 2008! The colour is gorgeous too, and you can obviously layer it up as the day goes on depending on how tan you want to be.

4. Orly Nail Lacouer in Boho Bonnet - I was sent this little beauty to review for you and i absolutely love it. I've been topping my nails up with this lovely cool grey blue all week and have got loads of compliments on it. It's the perfect shade for this time of year where we're in between seasons and don't really know what's going on with our schizophrenic weather! The polish itself is really great quality and  doesn't chip off too easily. I'll definitely be picking up a few more shades from Orly! I have my eye on a purple glitter one as we speak. 5. The Original Tangle Teezer - This is an absolute hair care staple! I don't know how i lived without it, having long thick dry hair prone to breakage and split ends, this just glides through my locks like a dream. It's especially good after washing my hair, and makes drying that bit less of a struggle! They're so reasonably priced too for being a product that will last basically forever! Love for Lavender (Pastel Hair!)

Images from Pinterest

The pastel hair trend has been funneling its way through the past few seasons, with the likes of Kelly Osbourne and even Helen Mirren sporting lilac and pink locks on the red carpet! I've always really loved the idea of it, but to be honest just didn't have the guts to take the plunge. But after months of lusting after photos online and a bit of a yellow hair nightmare, i bought the Lavender shade of Crazy Colours in Manchester and  did the deed. It was quite patchy as you will see in the photo, but if you brush it through properly and don't be as scared to use a generous amount like i was then you could hopefully avoid that.

The colour lasted for a good two or three weeks in total and faded gently with every wash. I would definitely use a shade from the Crazy Colours range again next time i'm feeling a bit bored of blonde! I don't know if i could fully commit to the upkeep though, i get bored of my hair pretty often.. and i'm a bit lazy like that if i'm totally honest! I wold love to see the results if any of you have tried a pastel shade out, so if you have link me up!
